HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Dr. Jerry Jordan on his 
4retirement as Superintendent of Schools South Holland School 
5District 150; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Jordan has been an educator in public 
7education for the past 41 years; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Dr. Jordan served Harvey Public Schools District 
9152 as a Special Education Teacher for seven years, as  
10Principal for 12 years, as  Director of
Administrative Support 
11Services, Director of Community Education, and Executive 
12Director of
the Harvey Public Schools 152 Educational 
13Foundation for four years, and as Assistant Superintendent of

14Business Affairs; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Dr. Jordan served as Superintendent and Chief 
16School Business Official for 15 years - three years in 
17Broadview District 92 and 12 years in South Holland District 
18150; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, The City of Harvey named a street in Dr. Jordan's 
20honor; he was named Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Inc., Chi Lambda 
21Lambda Chapter's Man-of-the-Year and Citizen-of-the-Year; and

1    WHEREAS, Dr. Jordan is motivated by helping and supporting 
2others, educating children, and serving
as an advocate and 
3mentor to them; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Dr. Jerry Jordan on his retirement as 
7Superintendent of Schools South Holland School District 150; 
8and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Dr. Jordan as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
