2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Terry F. |
4 | | Peshia of Oswego, who passed away on August 9, 2018; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Terry Peshia was born in Aurora to Harlan and Vera |
6 | | (Ohlgren) Peshia on February 3, 1938; he graduated from the |
7 | | Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1961; he proudly served |
8 | | in the United States Army; he married Connie Dailey on June 28, |
9 | | 1964; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Terry Peshia was a proud ironworker and began his |
11 | | career as an ironworker at Garbe Iron Works in Aurora in 1964; |
12 | | at the time of his passing, he was the Chief Executive Officer |
13 | | of Garbe Iron Works; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Terry Peshia was a past chairman of the American |
15 | | Institute of Steel Construction and the Central Fabricators |
16 | | Association and a member of Associated Steel Erectors; he was |
17 | | involved in many county and community organizations, including |
18 | | the Kendall County Board, the Oswego Village Board, and the |
19 | | Kendall County Historical Society, where he served as a past |
20 | | president; he was a former Oswego Police Commissioner; he was a |
21 | | devoted attendee of the Church of the Good Shepherd, United |
22 | | Methodist in Oswego; he was a Freemason and a member of the |
