| 3 | | with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. |
| 4 | | 2, by replacing line 20 on page 4 through line 2 on page 5 with |
| 5 | | the following:

| 6 | | "On and after the effective date of this amendatory Act of |
| 7 | | the 100th General Assembly, appointments to the board of |
| 8 | | trustees of the Thorn Creek Basin Sanitary District shall be |
| 9 | | made as provided in this paragraph. The mayor of each |
| 10 | | municipality located in whole or in part within the territory |
| 11 | | of the District shall recommend a candidate or candidates to be |
| 12 | | appointed to the position of trustee. A majority of the mayors |
| 13 | | must select an appropriate candidate to be appointed from among |
| 14 | | those candidates recommended by the mayors.".
