| 8 | | person commits installation of object in lieu of airbag when he |

for consideration, knowingly
installs or reinstalls in |
| 10 | | a vehicle any object in lieu of an air bag that was
designed in

| 11 | | accordance with federal safety regulations for the make, model, |
| 12 | | and year of the
vehicle as
part of a vehicle inflatable |
| 13 | | restraint system. A violation of this Section is a Class 4 |
| 14 | | felony A
misdemeanor.
