| 1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. If and only if Senate Bill 1905 of the 100th |
| 5 | | General Assembly becomes law, the Collective Bargaining |
| 6 | | Freedom Act is amended by changing Section 25 as follows:
|

| 8 | | Sec. 25. Violation and liability. Any officer, |
| 9 | | representative, director, elected official, or the like of any |
| 10 | | local government or political subdivision, or agent thereof who |
| 11 | | knowingly or willfully violates this Act, or who knowingly or |
| 12 | | willfully fails to comply with this Act, is guilty of a Class A |
| 13 | | misdemeanor. Any legislation, rule, law, ordinance, or |
| 14 | | otherwise that restricts or prohibits in any manner the use of |
| 15 | | union security agreements between an employer and labor |
| 16 | | organization as authorized under 29 U.S.C. 158(a)(3) is a |
| 17 | | violation of this Act and shall be void.
