AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1267




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1267 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the 
5Railroad Supplier Diversity Act.
 
6    Section 5. Definitions. For purposes of this Act:
7    "Class I railroad" has the meaning assigned by regulations 
8of the Surface Transportation Board (49 CFR Part 1201; General 
9Instructions 1-1), as those regulations may be revised by the 
10Board (including modifications in class thresholds based on the 
11revenue deflator formula) from time to time.
12    "Commission" means the Illinois Commerce Commission.
 
13    Section 10. Reports. A Class I railroad company may, no 
14later than April 15 of each year, submit to the Commission an 
15annual report containing the information described in

1subsections (b), (c), (d), and (e) of Section 5-117 of the 
2Public Utilities Act and any other additional information by 
3the railroad company, including, but not limited to, a national 
4supplier diversity report. The Commission shall accept any 
5reports submitted by a Class I railroad under this Section that 
6contain as much State-specific data as possible.".
