AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1671




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1671 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
 
4    "Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended  by 
5changing Section 3-11 as follows:
 



6    (110 ILCS 805/3-11)  (from Ch. 122, par. 103-11)



7    Sec. 3-11. 
The board of each community college district is 
8a body politic
and
corporate by the name of "Board of Trustees 
9of Community College District
No. ...., County (or Counties) of 
10.... and State of Illinois" or "Board of
Trustees of .... 
11(common name of community college), County (or Counties) of

12..... and State of Illinois" and by that
name may sue and be 
13sued in all courts and places where judicial
proceedings are 
14had. The State Board shall issue a number to each community

15college district, which number may shall be incorporated in the 
16name of the
board of that district. In conducting its

1operations, a community college may refer to itself by the 
2common name of the community college.
