Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Requires managed care organizations under contract with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to follow a standard prescription drug formulary established by the Department by rule. Requires the Department to adopt any rules necessary to implement the provision. Effective January 1, 2018.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 5-30.6 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (305 ILCS 5/5-30.6 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 5-30.6. Standard drug formulary; managed care |
| 8 | | organizations. Managed care organizations under contract with |
| 9 | | the Department shall follow a standard prescription drug |
| 10 | | formulary established by the Department by rule. The Department |
| 11 | | shall adopt any rules necessary to implement this Section.

| 12 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January |
| 13 | | 1, 2018.
