| 1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 5-30.8 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (305 ILCS 5/5-30.8 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 5-30.8. Electronic report submission. To preserve the |
| 8 | | quality of data and ensure productive oversight of Medicaid |
| 9 | | managed care organizations, all regular reports required, |
| 10 | | either by contract or statute, to be collected by the |
| 11 | | Department from managed care organizations shall be collected |
| 12 | | through a secure electronic format and medium as designated by |
| 13 | | the Department. The Department shall consider concerns raised |
| 14 | | by the contractor about potential burdens associated with |
| 15 | | producing the report. Ad hoc reports may be collected in |
| 16 | | alternative manners.

| 17 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 18 | | becoming law.
