SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates funding from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Elections for grants to county clerks and boards of election commissioners for the funding of election cybersecurity infrastructure for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The sum of $13,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the State Board of Elections for grants to county clerks and boards of election commissioners for the funding of election cybersecurity infrastructure for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
