| 2 | | WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that the Illinois General
|
| 3 | | Assembly pays honor and respect to individuals who gave their
|
| 4 | | lives in service to their communities; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, St. Louis County Police Officer Blake Snyder was |
| 6 | | killed in the line of duty on October 6, 2016, at the age of 33; |
| 7 | | and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Officer Snyder was a former Godfrey resident and a |
| 9 | | four-year veteran of the St. Louis County Police Department; |
| 10 | | and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Officer Snyder was a freelance graphic designer |
| 12 | | before becoming a police officer; he also served on the board |
| 13 | | of directors at Riverbend Family Ministries; therefore, be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES |
| 16 | | CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate McAdams/River Road as it |
| 17 | | passes through the Village of Godfrey as the "Officer Blake |
| 18 | | Snyder Memorial Road"; and be it further

| 19 | | RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation |

requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with |
