SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois General Assembly are

3proud to honor those who have given their lives in the defense

4of our nation; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, PFC Tyler Iubelt was born on October 19, 1996 to 
6Michael and Charlotte of Du Quoin; he graduated from 
7Pinckneyville High School in 2015; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, PFC Iubelt was sworn into the United States Army 
9on October 21, 2015; he completed basic
training and advanced 
10individual training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri  and was  
11assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, PFC Iubelt was deployed to Afghanistan as a member 
13of the 1st Cavalry Division
Sustainment Brigade; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, PFC Iubelt was killed in a suicide bomb attack at 
15Bagram Airfield
in Afghanistan on November 12, 2016; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, PFC Iubelt is survived by his wife, daughter, 
17mother, father, and three brothers; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

1CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate US Route 51 from Shamrock 
2Road to Kimzey Road as the "PFC Tyler Iubelt Memorial Highway"; 
3and be it further
 
4    RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation

5is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with

6State and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs

7giving notice of the name of
"PFC Tyler Iubelt Memorial

8Highway"; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of PFC Iubelt and the Secretary of the 
11Department of Transportation.
