| 2 | | WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that the Illinois General

| 3 | | Assembly pays honor and respect to truly great individuals; and

| 4 | | WHEREAS, Six brothers of the Kaszynski Family of Peru |
| 5 | | served in World War II; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Five of the brothers served in the United States |
| 7 | | Army: Bernard, Florian, Thaddeus, Alex Jr., and Richard; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, One brother, Chester, served with the United |
| 9 | | States Merchant Marine during World War II and with the United |
| 10 | | States Army during
the Korean War; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, The Kaszynski brothers served all over the world |
| 12 | | during World War II in places such as Guadalcanal, Tangal, the
|
| 13 | | Panama Canal Zone, New Guinea, the Philippines, and Iceland; |
| 14 | | and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Alex Jr. was the only brother who was seriously |
| 16 | | wounded in action on Luzon and was awarded the
Purple Heart; |
| 17 | | therefore, be it

| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
