SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Herbert L. Winkel of East Moline, who 
4passed away on January 4, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Herbert Winkel was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to 
6Herbert and Dorothy Wisinski Winkel on February  28, 1941; he 
7served in the United States Air Force and married Mary Annette 
8Begley in Miami Springs, Florida on September 1, 1984; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Herbert Winkel worked as a truck driver; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Herbert Winkel enjoyed watching NASCAR; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Herbert Winkel was preceded in death by his 
12parents; his wife, Mary; and his sister, Sandi Winkel; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Herbert Winkel is survived by his children, Debra 
14McDaniel, Angela Winkel, and Joseph Winkel; his grandson, Ryan 
15Winkel; and his sister, Joan Carlson; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Herbert L. Winkel, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
