SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Stephen J. Holub of Rock Island, who 
4passed away on January 22, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Stephen Holub was born in Prairieburg, Iowa to 
6Albert and Elizabeth Holub on February 26, 1935; he served in 
7the United States Air Force during the Korean War and married 
8Bett Thompson in Rock Island on August 1, 1958; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Stephen Holub retired from Farmall; he also worked 
10as a subcontractor for Acri and Carver Lumber; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Stephen Holub was a member of Rock Island American 
12Legion Post 1303; he was a 32nd degree Mason; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Stephen Holub was preceded in death by his 
14parents; his wife, Bett; and his siblings; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Stephen Holub is survived by his children, Stephen 
16Michael Holub, and Nola Howard; his grandchildren, Nikki and 
17Eric Howard; and his  great-grandson, Robert Howard; therefore, 
18be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Stephen J. Holub, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Stephen Holub as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
