| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of James Thomas Langan of Chicago, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 28, 2017 at the age of 97; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James Langan served in the United States Navy |
| 6 | | during World War II; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, James Langan was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 8 | | Edna (Hill) Langan, and his brother, Robert Spitzer; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, James Langan was the loving father of Maureen |
| 10 | | (Peter) Ott, Kathleen (Neil) Leslie, and Jim (Missy) Langan; |
| 11 | | the devoted grandfather of Jennifer (Robert) Daleiden, Nicole |
| 12 | | (Ryan) Walker, Eric Leslie, Traci Leslie, Russell Langan, and |
| 13 | | Jason DiPietro; and the adoring great-grandfather of |
| 14 | | Christian, Liam, Raegan, Collin, and Lily; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 17 | | James Thomas Langan, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 18 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
