| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Larry R. Admire, who passed away on |
| 4 | | February 3, 2017 at the age of 80; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Larry Admire was born in Jerseyville to Ray and |
| 6 | | Juanita (Green) Admire on November 9, 1936; the family moved to |
| 7 | | Alton and he attended Alton schools, graduating from Alton High |
| 8 | | School in 1954; following his graduation from high school he |
| 9 | | enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served for two |
| 10 | | years, most of the time in Germany; he later attended Shurtleff |
| 11 | | College, and married Barbara Cobeck on February 14, 1984; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Larry Admire was employed by Owens Illinois Mold |
| 13 | | Manufacturing and Retail Credit, before beginning his 34-year |
| 14 | | career as a State Farm Agent with an office in Bethalto; he |
| 15 | | retired in December of 2006; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Larry Admire was an avid bowler, tennis player, |
| 17 | | golfer, and bird hunter; he was active in his community, |
| 18 | | serving with the Alton/Godfrey Rotary Club, the Optimists, and |
| 19 | | as an officer with the Regional Growth Association; he served |
| 20 | | on the board of directors of the Alton/Wood River Sportsmen's |
| 21 | | Club, Lockhaven Country Club, and the Lewis and Clark Community |
| 22 | | College Booster Club; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Larry Admire was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 2 | | and two sisters, Shirley Admire and Carol Admire; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Larry Admire is survived by his wife of almost 33 |
| 4 | | years, Barbara; his children, Todd (Mary Pat) Admire, Jud |
| 5 | | Admire, Stacey Semanisin (Adele Langlois, and her children |
| 6 | | Michlynn and Dylan Langlois), R. Scott Admire, and Shannon |
| 7 | | Admire-McDill; his stepdaughter, Julie (Chris) Childs; 14 |
| 8 | | grandchildren, Ian Admire, Ryan Admire (Michelle Diaz), Tyler |
| 9 | | (Katie) Admire, Justin Admire (Leah Kiger, and her son, King), |
| 10 | | James Semanisin (Brittany Bessiere), Jessica Semanisin (Mike |
| 11 | | Corbin), Lucas Admire, Genna Admire, Patrick McDill, and |
| 12 | | Jameson McDill; two step-grandchildren, Molli Childs and |
| 13 | | Tanner Childs; three great-granddaughters, Anslie Semanisin, |
| 14 | | Kylie Semanisin, and Coraline Admire (due March 15th); two very |
| 15 | | special nieces, Kelli Schenk Thompson (Charley), and Jodie |
| 16 | | Schenk Krueger (Eric Brand), and their families; his special |
| 17 | | Westie, Chloe; and many dear friends; therefore, be it
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 20 | | Larry Admire, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, |
| 21 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
|
| 22 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
