SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Blanche M. Thompson of Arlington Heights, 
4who passed away on February 10, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Blanche Thompson was born in Chicago on September 
621, 1924; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Blanche Thompson was a longtime member of the 
8administrative staff of Des Plaines School District 62, 
9including for many years as the Executive Assistant to the 
10Superintendent; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Blanche Thompson was a member of Trinity Lutheran 
12Church in Des Plaines for over 60 years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Blanche Thompson was preceded in death by her 
14husband of 66 years, Harry E. Thompson Jr., and her 
15granddaughter, Sarah Thompson; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Blanche Thompson is survived by her  children, Mark 
17(Janet) Thompson, Randy Thompson, and Laurie (Fred) Tennyson; 
18her grandchildren, Christine (Billy) Ashby, Clay Thompson, 
19Kyle Tennyson, and Thea Zalabak; her great-grandchildren, 
20Sarah and Hannah Ashby; and  her brother, Richard (Elaine)

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Blanche M. Thompson, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Blanche Thompson as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
