SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Ronald Lester Schnulle of Punta Gordo, 
4Florida, who passed away on January 28, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald Schnulle was born in Woodstock to Lester 
6and Vera Schnulle on November 15, 1936; he married Elizabeth 
7Braun on January 14, 1956; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Ronald Schnulle was a lifelong electrician in 
9Woodstock and McHenry County; he worked with his father and his 
10brothers for Schnulle and Sons Electrical Contractors, the 
11Borden Milk Factory in Woodstock, Althoff Industries in 
12McHenry, and the Associated Electrical Contractors Inc. in 
13Woodstock; he was a member of International Brotherhood of 
14Electrical Workers 117 for 30 years; he was a Deputy Sheriff 
15for McHenry County, patrolling the Fox River in the summer and 
16snowmobile trails in the winter; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Ronald Schnulle enjoyed being active and giving 
18back to his community; he served as Scoutmaster for Cub Scout 
19Pack 363, and Scout Troop 169 in Woodstock; he helped found the 
20Woodstock Snowmobile Club and worked many hours with county 
21residents to create snowmobile trails throughout McHenry 
22County; and

1    WHEREAS, Ronald Schnulle served as Treasurer for the Board 
2of Directors at Alligator Park, in Punta Gorda, Florida; after 
3retiring in 1998, he enjoyed traveling the country with his 
4wife, "Liz", in their recreational vehicle and fishing; he was 
5a 55-year member of Moose Lodge 1329 in Woodstock, and was a 
6member of Elks Lodge 2606 in Punta Gorda; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Ronald Schnulle was preceded in death by his 
8parents; his brothers, Richard, William, James, and Edwin; his 
9sisters, Sally and Sandra (Johnson); and his granddaughter, 
10Angela; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ronald Schnulle is survived by his wife, 
12Elizabeth; his son, Michael (Melva); his grandchildren, 
13Matthew and Stephanie; his daughter, Linda; his grandchildren, 
14Jennifer, Samantha, and RJ; his son, Randall (Lorie); his 
15grandchildren, Jessica and Thaddeous; his great-grandchildren, 
16Landon, Eve, Jayden, Rian, Athena, Zoey, and Noah; and his 
17brothers and sisters, Vernon (Dawn), Fred (Brenda), Lawrence 
18(Sharon), Robert (Gail), Sharon (Roger Christianson), Carl 
19(Rose), Harry (Bonnie), Susan (Roger Stoerp), and Paula (Larry 
20Weidner); therefore, be it
  
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
22ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Ronald Lester Schnulle, and extend our sincere condolences to 
2his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
