| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert Edward Reed Sr. of Crystal Lake, |
| 4 | | who passed away on January 19, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reed Sr. was born in Duluth, Minnesota on |
| 6 | | December 23, 1927; he graduated from the University of |
| 7 | | Minnesota and served his country in the United States Marine |
| 8 | | Corps and the Air Force Reserve; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reed Sr. and his wife, Louise, operated |
| 10 | | Reed's Women's Apparel in Crystal Lake for 35 years; they also |
| 11 | | were sales representatives for Cruises International of |
| 12 | | Schaumburg for 25 years; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reed Sr. was a member of the Marine Corps |
| 14 | | League McHenry County Detachment #1009; he and his wife were |
| 15 | | members of the First United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake |
| 16 | | for 51 years, and they had a passion for dancing; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Robert Reed Sr. was preceded in death by his |
| 18 | | parents; his sister, Barb Franey; his grandson, Gary Reed Jr.; |
| 19 | | and his brothers-in-law, Wallace Carlson Thomas Franey, and |
| 20 | | Lyle Sours; and
