SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dawn Marie Hentrich of Alton, who passed
4away on February 20, 2017, at the age of 48; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dawn Hentrich was born at Fort Hood, Killeen,
6Texas to Carmen and Patsy (Zapfel) Marzullo on December 8,
71968; she grew up in Hanover Park and attended Lake Park High
8School where she competed on the theater team; she attended
9Bradley University in Peoria and married John Joseph Hentrich
10in Chicago on Aug. 14, 1994; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dawn Hentrich and her husband owned and operated
12Riverbender.com; she also volunteered countless hours for the
13benefit of youth at the Riverbender.com Community Center with
14accounting, managing the cafe, chaperoning, and fundraising;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Dawn Hentrich attended St. Mary's Catholic Church
17in Alton and was very involved in St. Mary's School; she was a
18major contributor to the annual soup and salad during Lent and
19was also involved in other fundraisers; she served as Chairman
20on the City of Alton's Appearance Review Commission for several
21years; and

1    WHEREAS, Dawn Hentrich loved the outdoors and loved hiking,
2camping, gardening, and cooking; she stayed in touch with her
3high school and college friends from Chicago; she loved her
4kids above all and was very involved, very proud, and always
5giving herself to her children; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Dawn Hentrich was preceded in death by her mother,
7Patsy (Zapfel) Marzullo; and her grandparents, Katie and
8Dominic Marzullo, and Lillian Ryan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dawn Hentrich is survived by her husband, John
10Hentrich; her three children, Ashley Marie, John Joseph "Joey",
11and Samantha "Sammy" Grace; her father, Carmen and his wife,
12Terri Marzullo; her father and mother-in-law, Fred and Mary Ann
13Hentrich; her sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Keith
14Johnson; her brother and sisters-in-law, Mike and Lisa
15Hentrich, Lori and Mark Harmon, and Susan Trefny; and several
16aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Dawn M. Hentrich, and extend our sincere condolences to her
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
21further
 
22    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
