| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Theodore D. Schweder of McHenry, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 30, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder was born in McHenry to Daniel E. |
| 6 | | and Aurelia M. (Breivogel) Schweder on July 24, 1935; he |
| 7 | | married Shirley Diedrichs at Our Lady of Grace in Chicago on |
| 8 | | November 24, 1956; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder was a longtime employee of the |
| 10 | | Temple Steel Company; he opened his own steel lamination |
| 11 | | business, PSW Industries; he invested in many McHenry real |
| 12 | | estate ventures, including various retail establishments and |
| 13 | | apartment complexes; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder enjoyed reading, playing golf, |
| 15 | | and "doing lunch" with his family and friends; a recent |
| 16 | | highlight was celebrating his 60th wedding anniversary on |
| 17 | | Thanksgiving Day with his wife and all of their children, |
| 18 | | grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in attendance; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder helped lead many parish |
| 20 | | fundraisers at St. Patrick Catholic Church, including Town and |
| 21 | | Country and Montini Bingo; he was Cub Scout Leader of Pack 351; |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder was preceded in death by his |
| 3 | | parents; his son, Teddy Schweder Jr.; and his brother, Robert |
| 4 | | E. Schweder; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Theodore Schweder is survived by his wife of 60 |
| 6 | | years, Shirley; his children, Gary (Cynthia) Schweder, Paul |
| 7 | | Schweder (Karin Rada), James (Brenda) Schweder, and Lori (Mike) |
| 8 | | Mazrin; his grandchildren, Gary (Emily) Schweder, Jake |
| 9 | | (Natosha) Schweder, Sarah (Kyle) Kanzler, Nicki (Rafael) |
| 10 | | Perez, Joshua Mazrin, Teddy Mazrin, Michael Mazrin, James |
| 11 | | Schweder, and Liam Schweder; his great-grandchildren, Bella, |
| 12 | | Maddy, and Lianna Perez, Aurelia and Maci Rose Schweder, and |
| 13 | | Lilyan Kanzler; his siblings, Jack (Anne) Schweder, and Gail |
| 14 | | (John) Powers; and his sister-in-law, Joanne (Schweder) |

| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 18 | | Theodore D. Schweder, and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 19 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 20 | | further
