SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jon Lyn Herlehy of McHenry, who passed 
4away on February 10, 2017 at the age of 74; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jon Herlehy was born in Huron, South Dakota on 
6February 19, 1942; he served in the United States Army and 
7married Betty Riley Roepenack on September 14, 1991; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Jon Herlehy was a Certified Public Accountant and 
9owner of Tax Assistants in McHenry; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Jon Herlehy was preceded in death by his daughter, 
11Heather Herlehy; his parents, Louise (Frank) Brown and William 
12Herlehy; and his siblings, Sally (Butch) Kowzic, Micky (Carl) 
13Fischer, and Gary (Sharon) Ingalls; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jon Herlehy is survived by his wife, Betty 
15Herlehy; his children, John and Sean (Christine) Herlehy, 
16Jennifer Cramer, and John (Catie) Roepenack; grandchildren, 
17Jazlyn, Jayden, Merissa, Jordan, Maysen, and Lukas; a 
18great-granddaughter, Myah; his siblings, Patricia (Harry) 
19Gibbons, William (Mary) Herlehy, Michael (Judy) Herlehy, 
20Eileen (Ron) Talbott, and Christine (Larry) Brown; and many 
21nieces, nephews, and good friends; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Jon Lyn Herlehy and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Jon Herlehy as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
