SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Sharon Ward of Gurnee, who passed away on 
4February 22, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Sharon Ward was born in Laurium, Michigan to 
6George and Joanne Mackie on July 15, 1947; she graduated from 
7Waukegan High School in 1965; she  earned her Bachelor of 
8Science in 2005 from the Columbia College of Missouri; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Sharon Ward worked at Abbott Laboratories for 35 
10years; she retired in 2012 as a Compliance Analyst; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Sharon Ward enjoyed spending time with her friends 
12and family, traveling, Halloween, dinner and a show, roller 
13coasters, Zumba class, and the occasional water sport, fishing, 
14zipline, or hiking adventure trips with her children and 
15grandchildren; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Sharon Ward is survived by her mother, Joanne; her 
17daughter, Meighan; her sons, Jon (Bea) and Jason(Lori); her 
18brothers, David (Karen) and Tony (Ellen); her sisters, Diane 
19(Dan), Terry (Marlin), and Marilyn (Dick); her grandchildren, 
20Stephanie, Nicole, Paige, Jake, Jessica, Baylie, Rylie, and 
21Tatum; and her great-grandson, Tucker; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Sharon Ward, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Sharon Ward as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
