|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Rosemary R. Wuellner, formerly of |
4 | | Brighton, who passed away on March 23, 2017; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was born in Muskegon, Michigan |
6 | | to Francis E. and Theresa (Kison) Rowe on August 13, 1929; she |
7 | | married Ned Wuellner in Muskegon on July 15, 1953; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was involved in many community |
9 | | organizations; during her 25 years in the Junior Service |
10 | | League, she held every office and started the "Who's New?" |
11 | | program; she had over 31 years of involvement with the Alton |
12 | | Community Service League, where she ran the Razmataz and Arbor |
13 | | programs; her other involvements included teaching for many |
14 | | years in public, private, and cooking schools; she was involved |
15 | | in the Indochinese Refugee Program and ran a private family |
16 | | counseling service; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was deeply involved in the |
18 | | American Cancer Society; she and her husband were Santa and |
19 | | Mrs. Claus at the Celebration of Christmas and they started the |
20 | | Dollhouse and Barn Auction in conjunction with the gift |
21 | | wrapping fundraiser; and

1 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner was preceded in death by her |
2 | | husband, Ned; her parents; her brothers, Joseph, William, and |
3 | | Edward Rowe; and her sisters, Jean Keiser, and Frances Crane; |
4 | | and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Rosemary Wuellner is survived by her children and |
6 | | their spouses, Ann and John Venardos, Debbie Wuellner, Rolf and |
7 | | Michele Wuellner, Leah and Matt Ursch, Sara and Dennis Moore, |
8 | | Ruth and Marty Frey, Hope and Dan Brooks, and Jed and Rachelle |
9 | | Wuellner; her sister, Elinor Kapla; her grandchildren, Peter |
10 | | and Alex Venardos, Blaze and Mallory Wuellner, Justin and Josh |
11 | | Traff, Austen Wuellner, Taylor, Hannah, and Morgan Moore, |
12 | | Abraham and Chloe Frey, Derek and Audrey Brooks, and Tristan |
13 | | and Nathaniel Wuellner; and four great-grandchildren; |
14 | | therefore, be it

15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
17 | | Rosemary R. Wuellner, and extend our sincere condolences to her |
18 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
19 | | further

20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
21 | | presented to the family of Rosemary Wuellner as an expression |
22 | | of our deepest sympathy.
