| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Edith J. Nichols of Crystal Lake, who |
| 4 | | passed away on March 23, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Edith Nichols was born in Brooklyn, New York on |
| 6 | | October 19, 1928; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Edith Nichols retired after 20 years as an |
| 8 | | administrative assistant at McHenry County College; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Edith Nichols enjoyed making creative Halloween |
| 10 | | displays at the college; she loved animals, reading, sewing, |
| 11 | | and art, but most of all, she loved spending time with her |
| 12 | | family; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Edith Nichols was the beloved wife of the late |
| 14 | | Burnett W.; the loving mother of Sue and the late John Nichols; |
| 15 | | and the devoted grandmother of Erica Escamilla, Jordanne, |
| 16 | | Grace, and Isabel Nichols; therefore, be it

| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 | | Edith J. Nichols, and extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 20 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
