| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Richard Charles "Dick" Day of Crystal |
| 4 | | Lake, who passed away on April 9, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Day was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to |
| 6 | | Gordon F. Day Sr. and Mary Ann Day on January 16, 1950; he grew |
| 7 | | up in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin where he earned his Eagle Scout |
| 8 | | rank and swam for his high school swim team; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Richard Day worked for the West Bend Company for |
| 10 | | over 30 years; he covered sales territories in North Carolina, |
| 11 | | Texas, Georgia, and finally, Illinois as Director of National |
| 12 | | Accounts; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Richard Day served on the board of the Delta |
| 14 | | Upsilon Alumni Association to support the organization that had |
| 15 | | given him so much during college; he was a devoted member of |
| 16 | | the Crystal Lake Country Club, promoting and carrying out many |
| 17 | | of its programs and efforts; he loved being on the golf course |
| 18 | | and slinging his clubs on his back walking alongside his |
| 19 | | buddies in Ireland; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Richard Day was one of a kind; he loved making his |
| 21 | | wife laugh, inspiring his daughter to try different adventures, |
