SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Lenny William Jensen III of McHenry, who 
4passed away on April 9, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lenny Jensen was born in Woodstock to Leonard 
6William Jensen Jr. and Geraldine (Freund) Bastear on  December 
728, 1961; he graduated from the McHenry school system, where he 
8was active in basketball and baseball; he earned his bachelor's 
9degree from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where he 
10played four years of college varsity basketball and baseball; 
11his senior year, he was awarded Athlete of the Year at Carroll 
12College; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Lenny Jensen worked as a teacher, coach, realtor, 
14and painter; and
  
 
  
15    WHEREAS, Lenny Jensen was preceded in death by his father, 
16Lenny Jr., and his life partner, Selina John; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Lenny Jensen is survived by his mother, Gerri 
18Bastear; Selina's parents, Rich and Joyce John; his sisters, 
19Dar Castillo (Teri Johnston), Sharon (Dennis) Drake, and Tammy 
20(Curt) Langille; his nieces and nephews, Stacy (Dan) Ryan, 
21Scoutt, Reily, Jennifer (Vincent) Luisi, Avery, Harper, Sean

1(Amy), and Britt Langille; and his stepfather, Bud Bastear; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Lenny William Jensen III, and extend our sincere condolences to 
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to  the family of  Lenny Jensen as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
