SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Richard "Rick" G. Miller of Rock Island, 
4who passed away on April 28, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Miller was born in Rock Island to Henry 
6and Rose Ihrig Miller on July 24, 1930; he served in  the United 
7States Marine Corps during the Korean War and married Rita Rae 
8Ritze in Rock Island on June 16, 1951; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Miller worked as a carpenter and retired 
10from International Harvester Farmall Works in Rock Island; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Miller was a member of the 15th Avenue 
12Christian Church in Rock Island; he was a huge sports fan and 
13loved his horses; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Miller was preceded in death by his 
15parents and his three brothers; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Richard Miller is survived by his wife, Rita; his 
17children, Mark (Ronee Aaron) Miller, Teri Miller, and Todd 
18(Brenda) Miller; his  grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, and 
19Travis;  and his great-granddaughters, Kylie and Jordyn;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Richard "Rick" G. Miller, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Richard Miller as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
