SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Guy S. Little Jr. of Sullivan, who passed 
4away on March 3, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Guy Little was born in Decatur to Guy S. Sr. and 
6Inis Mathew Little on February 13, 1935; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Guy Little was the founder of The Little Theatre 
8On the Square, which ran under his management from 1957 until 
91978; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Guy Little rarely missed an opening night or 
11closing performance at the theater and enjoyed corresponding 
12with the many performers that he knew, many whose careers he 
13had fostered; he was a lifetime member of the First Christian 
14Church of Sullivan where he was deacon and a choir member; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Guy Little was preceded in death by his parents 
16and his partner, Kirk McNamer; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Guy Little is survived by his son, Sean Little; 
18his daughter, Vanessa Little; and his sister, Ellen 
19VandenBrink; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Guy S. Little Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Guy Little as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
