SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James W. McDonough Sr. of Ft. Myers, 
4Florida; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, James McDonough served in the United States Army 
6with the military police; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, James McDonough retired as a sergeant with the 
8Chicago Police Department; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James McDonough served as president of the Chicago 
10Police Sergeants' Association; he was a former Pension Board 
11Trustee; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, James McDonough was the loving husband of
Sue 
13Ellen (Cunningham) and the late Donna (Boerema); the loved 
14father of Julie
(Robert (Ret. CFD)) Daly, Joan (Scott) 
15Thorholm, James W. (Julie) McDonough (Ret.
CCSPD) Jr., Tammy 
16(Michael) Toscano, and Kary (Chris) Porfidio; the beloved 
17grandfather of
Kelly (Matt Jones) Daly, Courtney Daly, Erin 
18(Peter Barre) Kelley, Alyssa (Toby) Behmer,
Erik Thorholm, 
19Dylan, Devin, Dallas and Darby McDonough, Cody and Christina 
20Toscano,
and Jessie and Kiley Porfidio; the cherished 
21great-grandfather of Jasper Jones, and Lane and Luke
Behmer;

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7James W. McDonough Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to 
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
  
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to  the family of  James McDonough as an expression of 
12our deepest sympathy.
