SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Gertrude M. "Nana" (Bronkema) Flaynik, 
4who passed away on May 12, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gertrude Flaynik loved her YMCA rusty hinges 
6classes on Briggs Street and traveling through 49 states with 
7Papa; she was the master of jokes and loved to make people 
8laugh; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Gertrude Flaynik was preceded in death by her 
10loving husband of 48 years, William "Embo"; her parents, Joseph 
11and Theresa Bronkema; her grandson, John Dennis Zaletel; her 
12great-grandson, Beylen Mark Testa; four brothers; and  two 
13sisters; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Gertrude Flaynik is survived by her children, 
15Dennis (Betty) Zaletel and Theresa McGuire; her grandchildren, 
16Mike (Erin) Testa, Mark (Kirsten) Testa, Sara (Ryan) Dixon, 
17Chris (Joe) Bajner, and Carrie (Alex) Boryszewski; 12 
18great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ann (Emil Burkovic) 
19Pandola; therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Gertrude M. Flaynik, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
