SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of John M. Edmunds of Silvis, who passed 
4away on May 11, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Edmunds was born in Bevier, Missouri to Miles 
6and Mary Ellen Durham Edmunds on September 4, 1922; he served 
7in the United States Army during World War II and married Mary 
8"Vivian" Walker on December 20, 1942; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, John Edmunds worked at Case IH in Moline and the 
10American Air Filter Company and Randolph's in Silvis; he was 
11also a Sunday school bus driver, a taxi driver, and delivered 
12coal by truck; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, John Edmunds was preceded in death by his parents; 
14his wife, Mary Ellen; and eight siblings; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, John Edmunds is survived by his children, Dan 
16(Lori) Edmunds and Debbie (Lenford) Coleman; five 
17grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20John M. Edmunds, and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
2further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of John Edmunds as an expression of our 
5deepest sympathy.
