SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of William "Bill" Dunlay Drew of Chicago, 
4who passed away on May 14, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Drew was born in Waukegan on July 18, 1947 
6to Richard and Loretta (Olson) Drew; he graduated from Waukegan 
7High School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the 
8University of Illinois at Chicago; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, William Drew was a computer programmer and a 
10longtime community activist; and
  
 

  
11    WHEREAS, William Drew is survived by his wife, Gloria 
12(Hernandez-Luis); his sons, Richard and William; his sisters, 
13Jane (Michael) Waller and Nora Renzulli; his brother, John 
14(Lauren Baker) Drew; and  many cousins, nephews, nieces, and 
15friends; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18William "Bill" Dunlay Drew, and extend our sincere condolences 
19to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
20it further
