| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Ronald D. Walima I of Crystal Lake, who |
| 4 | | passed away on May 23, 2017; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Walima was born in Waterloo, Iowa to Albert |
| 6 | | and Mabel (Scofield) Walima on December 24, 1942; he served in |
| 7 | | the United States Navy for six years as a corpsman; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Walima retired from Navistar International |
| 9 | | as a timekeeper on February 27, 2009 after 40 years of service; |
| 10 | | and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Walima served with the McHenry County |
| 12 | | Emergency Services Disaster Agency and as a part time police |
| 13 | | office for the Village of Lake in the Hills and as a auxiliary |
| 14 | | police office with the Village of Carpentersville; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Walima was preceded in death by his |
| 16 | | daughter, Jessica Jean Walima; his parents; his in-laws, Walter |
| 17 | | and Lorraine (Knudson) Ultsch; his son-in-law, Darrell |
| 18 | | Birkhoff; and his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Joyce |
| 19 | | Ultsch; and

| 20 | | WHEREAS, Ronald Walima is survived by his wife, Lorrie |
