SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Deno J. Filippini of Wilsonville, who 
4passed away on July 3, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was born in Wilsonville to Joseph 
6and  Agata Filippini on February 18, 1923; he married Irene M. 
7Bollini in Carlinville on June 16, 1942; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was a retired superintendent for 
9Shell Oil; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was a member of the Wilsonville 
11Fire Department for 35 years; he was  Willsonville Village Clerk 
12for 69 years and a  member of the Wilsonville Village Board for 
1373 years, the Gillespie Benld Ambulance Board for 30 years, and 
14a charter member of Unit 7 Fire District Board; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Deno Filippini was preceded in death by his 
16parents; his wife, Irene;  and his sister, Dena Giagnoni; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Deno Filippini is survived by his daughter, Pam 
18(Randy) Reid; his  grandsons, Ronald (Lydia) Reid and  James 
19"Jay" (Jaimi) Reid; his great-grandchildren, Cameron Reid and 
20Paxton Reid; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Girardi; and several

1nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Deno J. Filippini, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to  the family of  Deno Filippini as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
