SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Mary Ann Shinsky of North Chicago, who 
4passed away on June 21, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Shinsky was born in Waukegan on July 26, 
61935; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Mary Shinsky worked in the Waukegan Public School 
8District as a teacher's assistant for 20 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Mary Shinsky was a member of KSKJ Life American 
10Slovenian Catholic Union-St. Mary's Lodge #79, where she served 
11on the board of officers as an auditor; she was a member of 
12Queen of Peace Church, Most Blessed Trinity Parish; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Mary Shinsky was preceded in death by her husband, 
14Lester, and her brother, John Gerjol; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Mary Shinsky is survived by her sons, Lester (the 
16late Cheryl) Shinsky and Larry (Kelly) Shinsky; her daughter, 
17Lisa (Joel) Brockway; her grandchildren, Cynthia Shinsky, 
18Emily Brockway, Amanda Brockway, and Elizabeth Shinsky; her  
19niece, Michelle Gerjol; and her dear friends, Barbara Marolt 
20and the Marolt family; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Mary Ann Shinsky, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Mary Shinsky as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
