SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Janet K. (Grimm) Jacob of Vernon Hills, 
4who passed away on November 20, 2016; and
  
 

  
5    WHEREAS, Janet Jacob was a loving, warm-hearted lady; she 
6enjoyed making everyone laugh, cooking gourmet meals, and 
7entertaining; she touched the lives of many; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Janet Jacob was preceded in death by her parents, 
9Howard and Louise Grimm, and her stepfather, Clarence Mehlow; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Janet Jacob was the wife and best friend of 56 
12years of Richard Jacob; the mother of Howard (Lisa) and Mary 
13Beth Porter (Matt);  the grandmother of Shelby and Julia Jacob 
14and Sean and Robbie Porter; the  sister of Betty Burt; and 
15favorite aunt (or so she said) of many; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Janet K. Jacob, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
