| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Harold "Hoot" Craig of Indianola, who |
| 4 | | passed away on July 7, 2017, alongside his wife, June; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Harold Craig was born near Collison to William J. |
| 6 | | and Vera Gutteridge Craig on March 27, 1926; he served in the |
| 7 | | United States Army and married June Edmonds at the home of the |
| 8 | | bride's parents in Georgetown on October 15, 1948; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Harold Craig owned and operated Craig Dairy Farms |
| 10 | | for over 50 years; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Harold Craig served on the Indianola Grade School |
| 12 | | Board; he had been a Carroll Township election judge and served |
| 13 | | on the Carroll Township board; he was a member of the |
| 14 | | Georgetown American Legion and enjoyed square dancing, |
| 15 | | hunting, riding, and sports; he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; |
| 16 | | and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Harold Craig was preceded in death by one brother |
| 18 | | and his sister-in-law, Robert (Kathryn) Craig; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Harold Craig is survived by his daughters, Janey |
| 20 | | (Kim) Jolley and Gaile (Bob) Sekerka; his grandson, Kevin |
