| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of William R. "Bill" Taul Sr. of Alton, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on August 25, 2017; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, William Taul was born in Alton to Theodore Francis | ||||||
| 6 | and Gertrude (Baker) Taul on October 13, 1929; he served in the | ||||||
| 7 | United States Army and played in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor | ||||||
| 8 | league system; he married Rosalie Pavish at Ss. Peter & Paul | ||||||
| 9 | Proto-Cathedral Church on May 7, 1960; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, William Taul worked for many years at ConAgra | ||||||
| 11 | Foods in Alton; he worked part-time at Macy's department store | ||||||
| 12 | and the Rock Springs Golf Course; and
| ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, William Taul volunteered with the Bucket Brigade, | ||||||
| 14 | co-sponsored by Pride, Inc., painting homes for area residents | ||||||
| 15 | in need; he enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time with | ||||||
| 16 | his family; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, William Taul was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 18 | his wife, Rosalie; and his siblings, Francis Taul, Martha | ||||||
| 19 | Davey, and Donald Taul; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, William Taul is survived by his children,

| 13 | William R. "Bill" Taul Sr., and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
| 14 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
