SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William R. "Bill" Taul Sr. of Alton, who
4passed away on August 25, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Taul was born in Alton to Theodore Francis
6and Gertrude (Baker) Taul on October 13, 1929; he served in the
7United States Army and played in the Pittsburgh Pirates minor
8league system; he married Rosalie Pavish at Ss. Peter & Paul
9Proto-Cathedral Church on May 7, 1960; and
 
10    WHEREAS, William Taul worked for many years at ConAgra
11Foods in Alton; he worked part-time at Macy's department store
12and the Rock Springs Golf Course; and
 
13    WHEREAS, William Taul volunteered with the Bucket Brigade,
14co-sponsored by Pride, Inc., painting homes for area residents
15in need; he enjoyed bowling, golfing, and spending time with
16his family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, William Taul was preceded in death by his parents;
18his wife, Rosalie; and his siblings, Francis Taul, Martha
19Davey, and Donald Taul; and
 
20    WHEREAS, William Taul is survived by his children, Bill

2Kathy (Bill) Chambers, Todd (Donna) Taul, and Matt (Mary Lou)

5Shelby Waters, Alex Taul, Jack Taul, Nick Beiser, Andrew

7Maurutto, Rob Taul, Brad Taul, Max Taul, Leo Taul, Angelina
8Taul, and Lydia Taul; his dear friend, Patricia Little; many
9nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13William R. "Bill" Taul Sr., and extend our sincere condolences
14to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
15it further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of William Taul as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
