SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Furio "Rio" Richmond Faulkner, who passed 
4away on August 30, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rio Faulkner was born in Springfield to Jacob and 
6Lindsay (Horn) Faulkner on January 27, 2010; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Rio Faulkner enjoyed watching movies at the 
8drive-in and videos on his iPad and tiny TV, including Thomas 
9the Train, Paw Patrol, and Cars; he loved music, balloons, 
10pumpkins, Halloween, and the Christmas tree lights and train; 
11his favorite foods were grapes, popcorn, and scrambled eggs; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Rio Faulkner loved his family and the special bond 
14they shared; he had a special gift of touching the hearts of 
15everyone who knew him, and he could put a smile on the face of 
16anyone he met; despite his life-long struggles, he was the 
17happiest, sweetest, and most caring boy, who was always 
18concerned about the wellbeing of others; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Rio Faulkner was preceded in death by his 
20great-grandparents, John W. and Alice R. Horn; his 
21great-grandma Murphy; and his cousins, Ryne and Patrick

2    WHEREAS, Rio Faulkner is survived by his parents; his 
3sisters, Madelyn Dobron and Phoenix Faulkner; his brothers, 
4Flash and Varro Faulkner; his grandparents, Alan and Gail Horn, 
5James Faulkner, Carolin Faulkner (Patrice Brooks); his uncles, 
6Brian (Tara) Horn, Adam (Brittany Downs) Horn, and Nick (Beth) 
7Faulkner; his aunt, Lynn Sheehan; and his cousins, Austen, 
8Carley, Evan, Lily, Harrison, Emma, Erin, Christine, Rylyn, 
9Daniel, Erika, and Ethan; therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
12Furio "Rio" Richmond Faulkner, and extend our sincere 
13condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
14him; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to the family of Rio Faulkner as an expression of our 
17deepest sympathy.
