SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Charles E. Stewart of East Moline who 
4passed away on September 12, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Stewart was born in Kewanee to Charles C. 
6and Eta Williams Stewart on February 13, 1925; after high 
7school, he served in the United States Army Air Corps; he 
8married Marilyn Duncan in Colorado Springs, Colorado on May 2, 
91994; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Charles Stewart worked in sales for the Bowman 
11Company for over 28 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Charles Stewart enjoyed spending time with his 
13family and traveling with his fifth wheel camper; he was also 
14the author of several published science fiction and adventure 
15books; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Charles Stewart was preceded in death by his 
17parents; and his son, Kenneth Stewart; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Charles Stewart is survived by his wife, Marilyn; 
19his children, Marvin (Carol) Stewart, Lori Stewart, Cheryl 
20Randall, Mark VanDeWalle, and Michael (Karen) VanDeWalle; his

1many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, 
2Estelle; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Charles E. Stewart, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Charles E. Stewart as an expression 
10of our deepest sympathy.
