SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Stephen "Steve" Nordstrom of Waukegan, 
4who passed away on September 12, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Stephen Nordstrom was born in Waukegan on June 7, 
61957 and remained a lifelong area resident; he served in the 
7United States Army and later in the Army Reserve; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Stephen Nordstrom worked as a United States Postal 
9Carrier for 35 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Stephen Nordstrom was a member of First Baptist 
11Church in Waukegan and was very active in church activities; he 
12was a member of Al-Anon and a former member of the Christian 
13Motorcycle Association; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Stephen Nordstrom was preceded in death by his 
15father, Stanley R. Nordstrom; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Stephen Nordstrom is survived by his mother, 
17Armella Nordstrom; his sister, Dianne (Juan) Ospina; his niece, 
18Megan Brady; his nephews, Nick and Nathan Brady; his 
19step-nephews; and multiple cousins; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Stephen "Steve" Nordstrom, and extend our sincere condolences 
4to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
5it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Stephen Nordstrom as an expression 
8of our deepest sympathy.
