SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Edward "Ed" Young, formerly of Lake 
4Zurich, who passed away on September 23, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Young grew up in Chicago; he was an Eagle 
6Scout, and at the age of 17, joined the United States Marines, 
7serving during World War II; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Edward Young served as a Scoutmaster and on the 
9local zoning board of appeals; he was a 52-year lifetime member 
10of the Lions Club and a member and deacon at St. Peter United 
11Church of Christ; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Edward Young was preceded in death by his wife, 
13Nora Young, and his brother, Freeman (Eleanor) Young; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Edward Young is survived by his children, Melanie 
15(Rick) Collard and Julie (Paul) Vormittag; his grandchildren, 
16Josh (Jessi Lee) Vormittag and Jessica Dawn Vormittag; his 
17great-grandchildren, Jasmin and Brianna Vormittag; his 
18siblings, Gene (Audrey) Young, Al (Linda) Young, and Delores 
19(Rudy) Wrublick; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Edward "Ed" Young, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to  the family of  Edward Young as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
