| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert A. "Bob" Suding of Crystal Lake, |
| 4 | | who passed away on September 27, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Suding was born in Indianapolis to Nickolas |
| 6 | | and Anna (Kohlman) Suding; he graduated from Cathedral High |
| 7 | | School and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical |
| 8 | | Engineering from Purdue University; he served in the United |
| 9 | | States Army from 1952 to 1954 and married Jean Newman in June |
| 10 | | of 1954; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Bob Suding had a 60-year career as a licensed |
| 12 | | professional engineer in numerous industrial and government |
| 13 | | settings; he owned a successful company in the industry for 15 |
| 14 | | years; he completed his career at Intermatic in Spring Grove |
| 15 | | plus four years of consulting before his retirement in 2014; |
| 16 | | and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bob Suding married Jacque (Funderburk) Darcy in |
| 18 | | San Diego in April of 1989; he earned his Master of Business |
| 19 | | Arts from Northern Illinois University at the age of 68; he and |
| 20 | | Jacque lived in Sacramento for seven years before moving to |
| 21 | | DeKalb in 1995 and then to Crystal Lake in 2000; and
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bob Suding was preceded in death by his first |
| 2 | | wife, Jean, and his son, Robert Jr.; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Bob Suding is survived by his wife, Jacque; his |
| 4 | | children, Carolann (Jeff) Stark, Lynn Amoni, and Kathleen |
| 5 | | Kittle; his stepson, Mark Pruett; his brothers, William Suding |
| 6 | | and Eugene (Dee) Suding; his grandchildren, Amber (Nick) Biggs, |
| 7 | | Steven Amoni, and Dixie Thompson; his great-granddaughters, |
| 8 | | Harper and Haven Biggs; his brother-in-law, Don (Sandy) |
| 9 | | Funderburk; his sister-in-law, Patricia Jindrich; his |
| 10 | | treasured nieces and nephews and their families, Trace (Teri) |
| 11 | | Funderburk, Kelli Charlton, Nick Suding, Marie Suding, Ruth |
| 12 | | Ellen (Tim) Elinski, Paul (Kelli) Suding, Patti Ciganic, Nancy |
| 13 | | (Matt) Ullrick, Jean Swearingen's family, and Steve and Dan |
| 14 | | (Laurie) Newman; and numerous cousins and friends of many |
| 15 | | years; therefore, be it

| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 18 | | Robert A. "Bob" Suding, and extend our sincere condolences to |
| 19 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 20 | | further

| 21 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 22 | | presented to the family of Bob Suding as an expression of our |
| 23 | | deepest sympathy.
