| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Charles Richard "Charlie" Luebke of |
| 4 | | Moline, who passed away on October 30, 2017; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Luebke was born in Keokuk, Iowa to Charles |
| 6 | | F. and Lydia Luebke on September 22, 1930; he graduated from |
| 7 | | Keokuk High School and served as an air policeman in the United |
| 8 | | States Air Force from December of 1950 to December of 1954; he |
| 9 | | married Shirley J. White at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline |
| 10 | | on June 1, 1952 and they lived in Lake Charles, Louisiana until |
| 11 | | December of 1955, when they settled in Moline; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Charles Luebke worked for the McLaughlin Body |
| 13 | | Company in Moline for five years; he owned Avenue Rental Inc. |
| 14 | | for 25 years until retiring in 1997 when he sold his business |
| 15 | | to his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tom; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Charles Luebke attended First Lutheran Church in |
| 17 | | Moline; he loved playing golf with his son, Chuck, and they had |
| 18 | | many good times on the golf course with their golfing buddies; |
| 19 | | he was also active in local stock car racing, sponsoring the |
| 20 | | "Avenue Rental" car; and

| 21 | | WHEREAS, Charles Luebke was preceded in death by his |
