2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Christine Williams of Johnsburg, who |
4 | | passed away on November 15, 2017; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Chris Williams was born in McMinnville, Tennessee |
6 | | to Alfred and Williana Matthews on October 25, 1924; she |
7 | | attended Howe High School in Indianapolis, Indiana for two |
8 | | years and then graduated from Anderson High School in Indiana; |
9 | | she furthered her education and graduated from the Indianapolis |
10 | | School of Business; she then attended the Normal School of |
11 | | Gymnastics in Indianapolis, where she met her husband, LarMarr; |
12 | | and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Chris Williams was employed as an executive |
14 | | secretary for Budweiser Corporation in Chicago, Terra Cotta |
15 | | Industries in Crystal Lake, and Taylor Made Golf in McHenry; |
16 | | she worked as a secretary behind the information desk for |
17 | | Centegra in McHenry for 15 years; she also worked for the |
18 | | United States Post Office as a mail carrier for ten years; she |
19 | | loved teaching exercise classes and also started her own Red |
20 | | Hat Chapter in McHenry; she was the Sunnyside Village Clerk for |
21 | | ten years; and
|
22 | | WHEREAS, Chris Williams was involved in many activities at |
|

1 | | the First United Methodist Church in McHenry; she also loved |
2 | | attending water aerobics; she had a great love for family, |
3 | | friends, and life; she will be remembered for her caring and |
4 | | giving ways; and

5 | | WHEREAS, Chris Williams is survived by her children, |
6 | | Steven, Michael (Patti), Marybeth (Bruce) Harbecke, Danny, and |
7 | | David; her grandchildren, Brandon, Ashley, and Kolin Harbecke, |
8 | | Jamie (Brooke) Williams, and Steven Williams; her |
9 | | great-grandchildren, Fenix and Reylin Williams; and her many |
10 | | nieces and nephews; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Chris Williams was preceded in death by her |
12 | | husband, LarMarr; her parents; her brothers, Bill, Ray, and |
13 | | Walter Matthews; and her sister, Violet Dippel; therefore, be |
14 | | it
|
15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
17 | | Christine Williams and extend our sincere condolences to her |
18 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
19 | | further

20 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
21 | | presented to the family of Chris Williams as an expression of |
22 | | our deepest sympathy.
