SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Rose Nowak Zegar of North Chicago, who 
4passed away on December 11, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Rose Zegar was born in North Chicago and lived 
6there her entire life; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Rose Zegar helped the World War II effort at 
8Pfanstiehl Company in North Chicago; after the war, she married 
9and was a homemaker; she also worked at the Globe Department 
10Store in Waukegan with her beloved sister, Florence; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Rose Zegar enjoyed baking for her family; her 
12sweet tooth was legendary, as was her recipe for pineapple 
13slices; nothing gave her more happiness then being with her 
14grandchildren; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Rose Zegar was preceded in death by her husband, 
16Anthony; her brothers and sisters; and her in-laws; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Rose Zegar is survived by her children, Marilyn 
18(Stephen Sarich), Thomas (Pamela Fisset), Daniel, and Joan 
19(Brett Schultz); her grandchildren, Justin (Ali Saull), and 
20Lauren Schultz, Corinne Schultz; and her great-granddaughter,

1Ava Zegar; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Rose Nowak Zegar and extend our sincere condolences to her 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Rose Zegar as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
