SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Carol Carter of Beach Park, who passed 
4away on December 22, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Carter was born in Waukegan to Thomas and 
6Dorothy (Hund) Traynor on March 22, 1947; she married Preston 
7Carter on September 25, 1965; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Carol Carter was a homemaker and the bookkeeper 
9for the family business; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Carol Carter was a member of the Zion Moose Lodge, 
11the Zion Kiwanis, the Sierra Club, the Wild Life Foundation, 
12and the Ladies of Harley; she loved her bike trips with the 
13Harley club; she enjoyed cooking and baking, especially baking 
14cupcakes for the neighbor kids; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Carol Carter was preceded in death by her parents; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Carol Carter is survived by her husband, Preston; 
18her sons, Chris (Michelle) and Rodrick Carter; her  
19grandchildren, Aryanna and Jacob Carter; and her  
20great-grandson, Carter Mattonen; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Carol Carter, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
4friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Carol Carter as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
