SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald "Don" Shaw of Springfield, who 
4passed away on December 12, 2017; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Shaw was born in Van Wert, Ohio to  Don and 
6Margaret Shaw on September 26, 1945; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Donald Shaw worked as a disability adjudicator for 
830 years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Shaw loved to play pool, read, and watch 
10Chicago Cubs games; he was a member of the Sons of the American 
11Legion; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Donald Shaw was preceded in death by his parents 
13and  his grandparents, Lillian and Delbert Shaw and Ralph and 
14Pearl Stettler; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Donald Shaw is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his 
16daughter, Mary (Shawn Berry) Shaw; his grandson, Lucas Berry; 
17his sister, Sarah (Tom) Eickinberg; his aunt, Helen Murphy; and 
18numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Donald "Don" Shaw, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to  the family of  Donald Shaw as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
